About

Saint Agrippina of Mineo, also known simply as Saint Agrippina, is venerated as a virgin martyr by both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Her feast is kept on 23 June. According to tradition, she was a young Christian of noble birth who suffered martyrdom for her faith, and her relics were later brought from Rome to Mineo in Sicily, where her cult flourished.

Devotion to Agrippina spread through Sicily and southern Italy, and she was invoked by the faithful against evil spirits, leprosy, thunderstorms, and infectious diseases. Her shrine at Mineo became a center of pilgrimage.

She is remembered as one of the virgin martyrs of the early Church whose intercession was sought in every kind of bodily and spiritual affliction.
