About
Carlo Acutis was born in London in 1991 to Italian parents and grew up in Milan. From an early age he showed a deep devotion to the Eucharist, attending daily Mass and praying the rosary. He was also a gifted computer programmer, and he built websites cataloging Eucharistic miracles and Marian apparitions around the world.
He was known for his cheerfulness, his care for the poor, and his ability to use technology in the service of the faith. He died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of fifteen, offering his suffering for the pope and the Church.
He was beatified in 2020 and canonized in 2025, and his body rests in Assisi. He is venerated as a patron of young people and of the internet.
Prayer
St. Carlo Acutis, who said the Eucharist is your highway to heaven and cataloged its miracles on the internet, pray for young people and all who go online, that they may use technology for good and grow in holiness. Amen.
