About

Conrad of Constance was a German bishop and saint of the late tenth and early eleventh centuries. As bishop of Constance he shepherded his flock with wisdom during a turbulent age of imperial politics and monastic reform, and was remembered for his generosity to the poor and his devotion to the liturgy. He was a friend and benefactor of the great monastery of Reichenau and supported the renewal of ecclesiastical discipline in Swabia. After a long and fruitful episcopate he died on November 26, and his cult was confirmed by popular veneration. He is honored as a model of pastoral zeal among the bishops of medieval Germany.

Suggested prayer
